Hi, I'm Jordyn

Unlike most animators, my journey to this career didn't start by hopping into an animation or arts program straight out of high school.  You could say I took the scenic route by pursuing two other careers before finally admitting to myself that being creative and passionate about what I did in my career was more important to me than anything else. 

 

Now I am an animator, and I truly believe that my worst day making cartoons and drawing is still better than my best days doing anything else!

I graduated from the Animation program at Algonquin College in Ottawa and worked at studios such as Brown Bag Films and Mercury Filmworks. I teach yearly masterclasses in Animation Business to help third-year graduates gain confidence and succeed in the industry. I also created and co-host an animation podcast called Evening with an Artist that interviews industry professionals, chats about all things animation, and inspires and connects students with the animation community both local and nationwide!
